TOP UP HOURS FOR CARERS IN LEEK AND CHEDDLETON
We have been struggling with hours since Christmas. Anne-Marie has managed to finally sort the capacity block contract with the Council. We have been given a rolling 12 week contract for Leek and Cheddleton and we are wanting to pass this on to staff members.
We are currently finalising a 12 week contract to match the Councils terms and conditions. Example: If you require full-time hours. You will be paid a minimum of 36 hours per week plus extras.*
Terms and conditions:
Call logging and compliance needs to be 85% and above (via the service users phone or the app) This will be done in stages:
Month 1: 50%, Month 2: 60%, Month 3: 70%, Month 4: 80% Month 5: 85%
- Full-time staff need to be available for the 5 days per week
- You maybe asked to cover another area (capped at 2 days per month and a 7.5 mile radius)
- You may be asked to do field work in your area to build up your hours i.e. collecting diary notes, distributing MAR charts etc
- The top up will be paid at £9 per hour (Example: If you only work 28 hours. 8 hours will be added to your wage at £9.00 per hour)
- *The only time payments would go down is absence, picking up a lower than average amount of hours or sickness. Sickness would be paid following the Statutory Sick Pay (SSP).
- The top ups will only be available while Homestay Care Limited is receiving it from Staffordshire County Council.
- Staff members logging compliance needs to be over 85% to receive the top up hours.
